If it would have been my choice, I would have never chosen GIK… I would have gone to the States. My father ‘forced’ me to join GIK Institute. When I first came here I didn’t know a soul… I was a complete stranger in this far away land. I spent the entire first year getting acquainted with people and this place… along with the studies of course! Then having that phase put behind me and after getting myself transferred to Mechanical just to have an easy time, I started spending most of my time with me friends. I am very lucky to have made such friends and after having spent four years with them I can easily state that they are the cream (not in studies surely) of GIKI. People that I would never wanna forget. Farooq the Akhroot, Babarm Bonga, Baji, Jamala…. It would not be wrong to say that I did not gain much from GIKI on the education front; but surely this place has made me into a better human being. The interaction that I had here with all sorts of people, people from all over Pakistan, has proven to be extremely educational.
